Managing Staff Performance through Values-Based Coaching & Counseling
Motivating employees to perform well is an especially difficult challenge because every individual is different… there is no surefire formula that applies in every situation. However, nonprofit leaders can learn to shape the performance of staff by using a proven, performance management system based on an organization’s existing mission or values.
This professional, fast-paced, and highly relevant webinar will teach practical skills to apply the “art and science” of Coaching (reinforcing desirable behavior) and Counseling (redirecting unacceptable behavior without de-motivating the employee).
Learning Objectives: Participants will…
1. Learn to apply a simple, three-step Coaching method to reinforce desirable behavior
2. Identify how to differentiate between a compliment and a Coaching statement
3. Develop skills to determine the cause of ineffective or inappropriate employee behavior
4. Learn a six-step Counseling method to redirect unacceptable behavior without de-motivating the employee.
