This workshop is designed for those who are newer to grant writing or have written grants with limited success. This workshop will cover how to research grant opportunities, what your organization must have in place before writing a grant, the primary components of a grant proposal and how they fit together, and how to communicate effectively with prospective funders.
If you have a grant program that you think would be a good fit for your organization, please bring a copy of the grant program description and requirements. Also, if you have an unsuccessful grant application that you would like feedback on, please bring both a hard copy and an electronic copy on a flash drive. Please bring a computer with you if you can.

PRESENTER:
Jacqueline Rearick began her work in grants with The RLI Group specializing in the design, implementation and development of grant evaluations to monitor and meet Department of Education reporting requirements. As a Grant Evaluator, Jacqueline has experience collecting and analyzing data, and providing reports to determine the impact of project performance.
Jacqueline also served as a Grants Specialist with Virginia Western Community College (VWCC), where she helped to secure almost $3 million in funding including grants from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Google Foundation and the American Library Association. She now serves as the Executive Director for the Office of Sponsored Programs at Liberty University.
